General voting information can be found below, or by contacting the Town Clerk during normal business hours at the Town Hall:

Voting
Voting for Madbury residents takes place that the Madbury Town Hall at 13 Town Hall Road, Madbury, NH. (Click here for a town road map)

Hours for the upcoming 2010 General Election on November 2nd are: 8:00am to 7:00pm.

Registration

  • In person with the Town Clerk during the regular business hours. For the upcoming 2010 General Election, the last day to register with the Town Clerk is October 21, 2008.
  • In person with the Supervisors of the Checklist at one of their sessions which are posted at the Town Hall and in the local newspaper. They will hold a registration session on October 23, 2010, from 11-11:30am at the Town Hall.
  • In person at the polls on election day with the Supervisor of the Checklist.
  • Absentee Registration If you meet the state's voter requirements and qualifications and are unable to register in person because of physical disability, religious beliefs, military service, or because of temporary absence, you may register by mail. You should request an absentee voter registration affidavit and a standard voter registration form the town clerk. The absentee voter registration affidavit must be witnessed and then both the affidavit and the voter registration form are to be returned to the town clerk. The various application forms for absentee registration may be obtained from the Town Clerk.

In all cases you will need to show proof of age, citizenship and domicile. (your driver's license, birth certificate, passport, naturalization papers, utility bill with your name and Madbury address.) 
You are encouraged to register to vote prior to election day to prevent delays at the polling place.
 
Absentee Ballots
 
Application for absentee ballots may be made in person with the Town Clerk or by mail or by FAX. Madbury's fax number is 603-742-2505.

For state and federal primary and general elections, applications for absentee ballots can be downloaded from the NH Secretary of State Office at: http://www.sos.nh.gov/vote.htm

For Madbury Town and Oyster River School District Elections you may use the following absentee ballot application: Not applicable for the 2010 General Election.
