Beloved Tigard teacher, Trudi Sang, will become Nellie the Clown! This will be a super fun, hands on activity for children to experience the artistry of clowning by a professional educator of young children. Trudi will transform from herself to a clown before their very eyes! She will then do a clown performance which will include illusions and storytelling. Kids take a turn at scarf juggling, balancing ostrich feathers, face painting and more! Trudi "Nellie" Sang has been a professional clown for the past 17 years. Trudi took classes, training, and mentored from some of the best clowns in the business.

Will give an engagingly funny talk to the parents entitled
“When Are You Going To Teach Them Something?”

“I hope to share the fun of kid-watching so you will know that when they answer “just played” you will know they really mean “JUST LEARNED”

This is a perfect opportunity to support children who might have a sensitivity towards costumes, characters, or clowns. After Trudi’s transformation to Nellie, kids and their “guardian adult” are invited to the gym for more clowning around stations! While those adults wanting to listen to Lois, will stay in the same room for the engagingly funny talk!

Lois Todd was an inspired kindergarten teacher at Cedar Hills for 17 years before her retirement. Since then she has served on the PCPO board, as President and as mentor and guide for many co-op teachers and schools.
