Have we gone too far past remembering what childhood is about? This seminar will focus on how we must learn to recognize and celebrate the idiosyncrasies and stages of growth of children, and establish environments that respect childhood.

Bev has been the Director and a Teacher at the Roseville Community Preschool in Roseville, CA for over 32 years. She is the author of three books; Don’t Move the Muffin Tins, Before the Basics, and Together We’re Better.

  Bev lectures around the country and internationally on topics in her field of expertise - creative art, music and language, science, self -esteem; and helping children learn to socialize in a very natural way. She is sought after by Early Childhood Education groups, parents, teachers, childcare professionals, and college classes. While maintaining a very active lecture schedule, Bev continues to teach three mornings per week.
  Bev has spoken several times at the National Association for the Education of Young Children conference as well as for many state AEYC affiliations. Some of her other credits include appearances on local TV and Radio in Sacramento, CA., National Public Radio, and she has been featured on the ABC News 20/20 program.

  In addition to her books, Bev has produced two video tapes Starting At Square One and Come On And Sing, and ten recordings of music and storytelling with Michael Leeman and Tom Hunter. Along with Michael Leeman, she also performs concerts for families with young children. Bev is the mother of five grown children and grandmother to thirteen.

Michael has co-presented with Bev Bos to a wide variety of organizations of parents and teachers on topics of art, music, creativity, science and child development since 1984. He is a musician and illustrator of music and books for young children. Among Michael’s published works is the children’s picture book Morningtown Ride. Michael, who is also Bev’s son-in-law, lives with his wife Carrie and daughters, Meghan and Jillian, in Roseville, Ca.

Schedule for Brunch & Seminar
Teachers’ Brunch

Teachers are invited to a limited seating brunch with Bev Bos before the seminar. Bev will be available to answer questions of general interest. PCPO teachers will be given priority for this event until February 25th. Other teachers can be contacted if space is available.

so that we may present Bev Bos.

General Information

PCPO Group Fee - A PCPO member school optional group fee may have been paid allowing your school’s members to attend the conference at a reduced rate. Your PCPO Rep or Treasurer will know if your school has chosen to prepay the optional group fee.
Scholarships - A limited number of scholarships for full or discounted fees are available upon written request. Scholarships will be awarded on a first come, first served basis with priority given to PCPO members.
Child Care Division Credits - Certificates for CCD credits needed by child care workers will be available at the end of the day.
Displays & Vendors - Displays and vendors will be available before, and after the seminar. Some offer merchandise to purchase. Major credit cards and personal checks may not be accepted by all. PCPO does not endorse any vendor or displayer.
Please Note - So that everyone may hear and learn from the speaker, please do not bring infants or children to the conference.
